The UL 574:2019 standard outlines requirements for electric oil heaters used with Nos. 5 and 6 fuel oil or other oils such as heat transfer oils. The standard applies to heaters used in ordinary locations and should be installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70.
The standard does not cover electric oil heaters with ratings exceeding 600 volts.
