UL 773A:2020 PDF Download

The UL 773A:2020 standard specifies the requirements for light-sensitive or presence-sensitive controls used for indoor or outdoor lighting control. These controls are designed to operate with loads of up to 20 A and a maximum voltage of 347 V in installations compliant with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the Canadian Electrical Code (CE Code). They are suitable for use on both 50 Hz and 60 Hz systems, as well as direct current (DC) up to 60 V for the US and up to 42.4 V for Canada.

However, it is important to note that the standard does not cover certain types of controls, such as locking type devices used for area or roadway lighting fixtures, controls for safety critical loads or personal protection circuits, controls intended for installation in hazardous locations, or controls used for manufacturing process control. These specific conditions fall outside the scope of the UL 773A standard.
