UL 569:2017 is a standard that specifically addresses the requirements for pigtails and flexible hose connectors used in fuel-supply systems for LP-Gas. These systems are not meant for use with high or low-pressure natural gas services, except for low-pressure flexible hose connectors used in natural gas systems. The installation of LP-Gas systems must comply with the Liquified Petroleum Gas Code, while the installation of natural gas systems must adhere to the National Fuel Gas Code.

The standard covers pigtails and flexible hose connectors used to connect equipment or service piping. It also includes hose without end-connection fittings that are used in the manufacturing of flexible hose connectors. However, this standard does not apply to gas appliance connectors for fuel gases at 5 psig or less, which are covered by a separate standard. It also does not cover flexible hose connectors for engine fuel applications, connectors for use in confined areas, or hose connectors for portable outdoor gas-fired appliances, as these have their own specific standards.
