UL 363:2020 is a standard that sets the requirements for open knife switches used in compliance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA-70. The standard applies to knife switches with or without fuseholders, as well as switches with individual bases designed for front or rear wiring connections. It also covers switch parts without bases that are meant to be mounted on switchboards and panelboards. The switches can be single- or multi-pole and may have quick-break or auxiliary contacts, unless there are specific requirements for such contacts.
