UL 6:2019 PDF Download

The UL 6:2019 standard specifies the requirements for electrical rigid metal conduit made of steel (ERMC-S), as well as its associated fittings such as elbows, couplings, and nipples. These products are intended to serve as metal raceways for the installation of wires and cables in compliance with various electrical codes and standards, including CSA C22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1, NOM-001-SEDE, Standard for Electrical Installations, and NFPA 70, National Electrical Code.

ERMC-S is manufactured with an exterior coating that is corrosion-resistant, such as zinc, zinc-based, nonmetallic, or an alternative type of corrosion protection. Additionally, it is provided with an interior coating made of organic or zinc material. However, it is the responsibility of the end user to determine the most suitable product for their specific application.

This standard does not cover non-ferrous or stainless steel conduit, as these types of conduits are addressed by other standards mentioned in Reference Item No. 2 of the standard's Annex a.
