Road vehicles - Electrical disturbances from conduction and coupling - Part 2: Electrical transient conduction along supply lines only
Also Known As:
ISO 7637-2:2011 is a standard that focuses on the electrical disturbances caused by conduction and coupling in road vehicles. Specifically, this standard addresses the issue of electrical transient conduction along supply lines only. The standard provides test methods and procedures to ensure compatibility of equipment installed in passenger cars and commercial vehicles with 12V or 24V electrical systems to conducted electrical transients.
The standard covers both the injection and measurement of transient signals during bench tests. It is applicable to all types of road vehicles, regardless of the propulsion system used, such as spark ignition or diesel engines, or electric motors. In addition to test methods, the standard also includes a classification system for function performance status, assessing the immunity of devices to transients.
