Specifications for Particular Types of Winding Wires - Part 0-1: General Requirements - Enamelled Round Copper Wire
Also Known As:
IEC 60317-0-1:2013+AMD1:2019 is a standard that specifies the general requirements for enamelled round copper winding wires. These wires can have a bonding layer or not, and their nominal conductor diameters fall within a specified range as outlined in the relevant specification sheet. This fourth edition of the standard replaces the previous edition published in 2008 and includes several technical revisions.
Some of the significant technical changes in this edition include a revision to the definition of nominal conductor dimension, the inclusion of general notes on winding wire as a new subclause, revised elongation requirements in Table 4, revised requirements for breakdown voltage in Clause 13, revised requirements for continuity of insulation in Table 13, as well as revisions to the introduction of Annex A, B.2 of Annex B, and Table C.1 of Annex C.
It is important to note that this consolidated version includes both the fourth edition (2013) of the standard and its amendment 1 (2019). Therefore, there is no need to order the amendment separately, as it is already incorporated into this publication. It is recommended to read this standard in conjunction with the IEC 60851 series for a comprehensive understanding of the requirements for particular types of winding wires.
