The ICEA S-110-717:2013 standard provides guidelines for optical fiber drop cables used in outdoor and/or indoor/outdoor applications. This standard specifies the materials, construction, and performance requirements, as well as the relevant test procedures. It is important to note that for optical fiber drop cables used in multiple dwelling unit (MDU) applications, the requirements of S-730 supersede the requirements of this standard, unless otherwise agreed upon by the manufacturer and user.
