Standard EN SampleNeutral Supported Power Cable Assemblies with Weather-Resistant Extruded Insulation Rated 600 Volts
Also Known As:
The ICEA S-76-474:2004 standard specifies the requirements for neutral supported power cable assemblies with weather-resistant extruded insulation rated at 600 volts. It applies to wires and cables used for overhead distribution of electrical energy, specifically for service drop cables and secondary distribution cables. These cables are designed for circuits not exceeding 600 volts phase-to-phase or 480 volts phase-to-ground, with a normal service conductor temperature rating of 75°C or 90°C.
When there is a conflict between this standard and other referenced standards, the requirements of this standard shall take precedence. The standard includes conversion factors for English units to metric units, which are used throughout the document. Appendix C provides the recommended bending radii for both phase conductors and cable assemblies.
While the standard primarily uses U.S. customary units, approximate SI equivalents are also provided for informational purposes.
