Standard EN SampleStandard for Neutral Supported Power Cable Assemblies with Weather Resistant Extruded Insulation Rated 600 Volts
Also Known As:
ICEA S-76-474:2020 is a standard that specifies the requirements for neutral supported power cable assemblies with weather resistant extruded insulation. The standard is applicable to cables and wires that are used for the overhead distribution of electrical energy and are suspended from supporting structures.
The standard covers the materials, constructions, and testing procedures for these cable assemblies or single conductors intended for field lashing. It is specifically designed for extruded dielectric insulated electric current carrying phase conductors and bare or covered neutral electrical conductors.
The standard is applicable to two types of multiplexed wire and cable constructions: neutral supported service drop cables and neutral supported secondary distribution cables. These cables are suitable for circuits with a voltage not exceeding 600 volts phase to phase or 480 volts phase-to-ground. The normal service conductor temperature rating for these cables is either 75 °C or 90 °C.
