Low-Voltage Fuses - Part 14: Supplemental Fuses
Also Known As:
CSA C22.2 NO. 248.14:00 (R2019) is a standard for low-voltage fuses, specifically focusing on supplemental fuses. This standard is jointly developed by UL, CSA, and ANCE, and it is the second edition of UL 248-14, superseding the first edition published in 1994. It is also the first edition of NMX-J-009/248/14-2000-ANCE.
The purpose of this standard is to establish requirements and guidelines for supplemental fuses rated 60 A or less. These fuses are intended for supplementary overcurrent protection and are not meant for branch circuit or equivalent applications. The standard applies to both AC and DC ratings, although the DC ratings are optional.
To facilitate understanding and referencing, this standard is meant to be read together with Part 1 of the Standard for Low-Voltage Fuses, which covers general requirements. The numbering of clauses in this Part corresponds to the like-numbered clauses in Part 1, and the requirements of Part 1 apply unless modified specifically by this Part.
